hello

Benvenuti!

My name is Kate and I'm glad you're here. I started blogging during my freshman year of high school. I was living in Manila, the capital of the beautiful Philippines, at the time. It was the longest stop of my nomadic childhood that took me from the suburbs of DC to the beaches of North Carolina to a tiny town that straddled the West Virginia border. I returned to Virginia in May 2016 to begin the next part of my journey: college. After graduating, I spent two years teaching high school English in New York City. 

These days, I've recently published my Master's thesis and continue to be obsessed with knitting (and scrapbooking! that's a new one for me). I love to read, do yoga, go camping, and I am on a perpetual quest to discover the very best french fries in the world. (This place's fries—extra sexy sauce please—are currently ranked #1.) 

I have always believed that we are not meant to walk through this life alone and that is what I aim to celebrate here. Thank you for walking with me.
